Flintfix is a Chelmsford-based structural steelwork business serving commercial and industrial project requirements.

Our work covers primary structural frames, beams, columns and roof trusses alongside mezzanine frameworks, industrial staircases, access ladders, catwalks, support structures and architectural metalwork. Some requirements begin with a developed drawing package; others start with a defined need and a set of interfaces that must be understood. In either case, our focus is the same: establish the scope clearly, fabricate the steelwork with care and keep the project conversation direct.

Established in 2025, Flintfix is a young company built around experienced people. Across our team, we bring together decades of combined experience in practical fabrication, metalwork and the realities of construction environments. That experience informs how we read drawings, raise questions, consider access and think about the sequence in which steelwork will be delivered and assembled. We do not confuse good communication with unnecessary layers; customers deal with people who understand the work and can keep the detail connected to the wider project.

We work with contractors, commercial clients, designers and project teams who need a responsive fabrication partner. The scale and shape of each package can vary—from a set of supporting members or a purpose-made staircase to a coordinated structural frame. We approach each one as its own requirement rather than forcing it into a fixed catalogue. Materials, finishes, connections and installation responsibilities are discussed against the drawings and the intended environment, helping everyone understand what sits inside the quotation and what information is still needed.
